Child Survival

In the developing world, mothers and babies living in poverty face a crippling set of challenges. From pregnancy through the crucial first year of life, they must deal with threats such as waterborne illnesses, a lack of nutritious food and limited or no medical care. Thanks to churches like yours, Compassion’s Survival initiatives are tackling these issues, giving vulnerable babies the best possible opportunity to reach their first birthday and go on to have a healthy, happy childhood.

In recent years, a global, focused aid effort has encouragingly reduced child and maternal mortality rates. But the need remains critical, especially in the countries where Compassion works.
